05.07.09 | Do I Really Need a Driver's License to Complete my FAFSA?
Questions 11 and 12 on the FAFSA center around your license.
Take a deep breath, a license is not required to complete your FAFSA. Imagine if it was a requirement? That would be almost as arbitrary as requesting ones shoe size. Mine is a 9.5 by the way if anyone would like to send me a pair of Nike cross-trainers! So if you are someone who has a few speeding tickets and failures to stay right, fear not. That will not impact your eligibility.
In place of a drivers license a State ID will do. If you do not have a State ID you may leave those fields blank, although that is not encouraged.
