11.17.08 | Remaking our FAFSA website – your suggestions wanted!

Posted in FAFSA by David Bonvie

We’re about to give our FAFSA website, FAFSAonline.com, a makeover, including updating it for the 2009-2010 FAFSA which will be finalized soon. As part of that process, I’d like to invite you to add your comments and feedback about the site, about what you like about it and what you think needs to be improved, what things you use the most and what things are missing that you really need. While I can’t guarantee that every suggestion will be implemented, I can guarantee that every suggestion will be read and given weight.

A few things that will not change:

- We will never charge for the FAFSA. It’s free for a reason.
- We will be keeping and updating our guide to become a true line-by-line guide.
- We will continue answering your questions in the comments on our FAFSA blog.

What can we do better here to help you?

mis-spelled word in the “Did you enjoy this?” paragraph. It needs to be corrected to “remember to come back” instead of “bak”

I have 2 kids in college…& Frankly, We could use all the help we can get. So, I think it is rather demeaning…yes, demeaning..When, I call Fafsa, to understand what is going on w/ my son’s fafsa..why the link won’t let see what happened…I was told by the system, I needed to make corrections. The gentleman on the other end just laughs…
tells me, he has looked at the fafsa..no problem. That the system on the fafsa end puts out a occasional error system…say what?? Any how, I point out to hime..because of this I have to do another verication w/ the college..This system was suppose to be easier..for the past 3 yrs., I’ve had to do it w/ my daughter and now for the past 2, my son..I don’t get it. I even had H&R block do the income tax this year & walk me through the fafsa.. Yet, it’s all random…What is wrong w/ this picture?? Thanks, So much for a easier system…Karen Castleman
