If they did not they would need to send for a "Status Information Letter" from Select Service. They would need to take this letter and a statement as to why they did not register to the Financial Aid Office at the school they will attend for the school to determine their eligibility for Title IV aid. www.sss.gov has more information about requirements. 2)US Citiizens who did not register and are beyond the age to register will need to go through the same process as above. The "Status Information letter" is required in both cases. It can take up to 6 weeks to get a response back so completing this soon will help avoid delays. Once the institution has approved a student for one year and has the proper documentation there should be no need to reaccomplish this each year if staying at the same institution.
